Desde el viernes 13 de noviembre se puede ver la exposición Terracotta Army-Guerreros de Xian, una muestra que ya ha recorrido distintas ciudades europeas y españolas. La exposición se podrá ver en el el Muelle de las Delicias, Área Sur del Puerto de Sevilla, hasta el 24 de enero.
El horario de visitas es de 10 de la mañana a 9 de la noche de manera ininterrupida de martes a sábado. Los domingos y festivos el horario es de 10 a 19 horas, y los lunes está cerrada. El lunes 7, 21 y 28 de diciembre y el 4 de enero sí estará abierta.
Esta es una muestra con 150 réplicas a tamaño original del conjunto de más de 8.000 figuras de guerreros y caballos de terracota que fueron enterradas cerca del autoproclamado primer emperador de China de la Dinastía Qin, Qin Shi Huang, entre los años 210-209 antes de Cristo.
Estas figuras originales están dentro del Mausoleo de Qin Shi Huang, también conocido como Mausoleo del Primer Emperador Qin y fueron descubiertos durante unas obras para un abastecimiento de agua, en el año 1974.
Cada una de estas figuras tiene rasgos y características diferentes y no solo hay hombres sino que también hay mujeres guerreras. Se representan a jóvenes, viejos, con rasgos de etnias diferentes.
Las cabezas y las manos se moldeaban aparte y luego se añadían a los cuerpos. Los uniformes reflejan los rangos militares a los que pertenecen
