Hasta el 22 de agosto (sábado) se puede seguir viendo la obra de teatro La Estrella de Sevilla en la Torre de Don Fadrique, en la calle Santa Clara. Esta tragedia del Siglo de Oro, cuya autoría se atribuye al dramaturgo Andrés de Claramonte, está representada por la compañía Teatro Clásico de Sevilla, y simplemente por entrar en el espacio, al que normalmente no se tiene acceso merece la pena ir a verla.
La Estrella de Sevilla se puede ver de martes a sábado a partir de las 22:00 horas. Las entradas pueden adquirirse a través de la web de generaltickets, en las taquillas del Teatro Lope de Vega o en la propia Torre de Don Fadrique desde una hora antes del espectáculo. El precio es de 15 euros, y hay entrada reducida de 12 euros para grupos de más de diez personas, jubilados y estudiantes acreditados.
El argumento de la obra parte de la llegada del Rey Sancho el Bravo por primera vez a la capital hispalense, donde se queda prendado de Estrella Tavera, hermana del noble local Busto Tavera y enamorada del hidalgo Sancho Ortiz de las Roelas. En este sentido, la acción refleja claramente la época en la que se escribió, en torno a 1630, porque el Rey Felipe IV y su valido Olivares visitaron Sevilla en 1624. Tiene toda una intencionalidad política para su momento, hablando de los problemas de una monarquía absolutista y caprichosa, en un momento en el que los súbditos empiezan a exigir sus derechos ante las arbitrariedades despóticas de sus monarcas.
El espectáculo está galardonado con cuatro Premios Teatro Andaluz-SGAE 2015: Dirección, Adaptación, Escenografía e Iluminación, y cuenta con nominaciones a los Premios Max por su escenografía y vestuario.
