La Plaza de España en el Parque de Maria Luisa de Sevilla es uno de los lugares más visitados de la ciudad, y en ella se han rodado algunas importantes producciones de cine que la han hecho ya inmortal, como Lawrence de Arabia, El viento y el león, Star Wars Episodio II: el ataque de los clones, 1492, la conquista del paraíso, y El dictador.

Este edificio semicircular, se construyó como el principal de la Exposición Íberoamericana de 1929 y su edificio principal tiene la puerta de entrada mirando al Guadalquivir, que era por donde entraban los barcos de las colonias americanas.
En los bancos de alrededor de la plaza aparecen representadas todas las provincias de España en orden alfabéticos, en paños de azulejos, y sus muros están decorados con bustos de españoles ilustres. Para reemplazarlo, los ceramistas elaboraron uno nuevo: Reparto del reino de Navarra, que mostraba una escena de la corte en la que aparece el rey rodeado de sus hijos. Esta nueva obra aparece encabezada por Pamplona, y no por Navarra, lo que altera la distribución alfabética de los bancos de las provincias de la Plaza de España.
